Rainey Qualley “Turn Down The Lights” Tracklist & Cover Art

Rising singer/songwriter's debut EP Set to be released June 2.

With passionate vocals and an endearing spirit, newcomer Rainey Qualley is set to debut her first EP, Turn Down The Lights in early June. The EP will feature seven songs, all co-written with Qualley and produced by John Ramey and Russ Zavitson. The EP is the first release for Cingle Records, a new Nashville-based label.

Born in NY, NY and raised in Missoula, MT until she was 9, when her family moved to Asheville, NC, Rainey Qualley is ready to share her experiences from those early days in wide open spaces to the southern charm of North Carolina and her influences through her parent’s wide-open choices of music played throughout their house (artists like Dolly Parton, Otis Redding, The Tempations and Johnny Cash, to name a few).
“Being in the Appalachian Mountains, those sounds are really native to my ears, and I love the historical element of Country music – it’s so native to America,” she said. “Country is innately earthy, which I’m drawn to.”
Rainey began creating her own songs as a young child, and her father taught her how to play guitar. Her love of writing and performing eventually led her to Nashville, where she immersed herself in the creative community.
“I love the songwriting atmosphere in Nashville. Everyone is making music, and there’s a real sense of community here.”

The lead single from Turn Down The Lights EP is set to be "Me And Johnny Cash" but “Turn Me On Like The Radio,” a spirited love song featured on SiriusXM's "The Highway," can be heard here.
