Corey Smith "While The Gettin’ Is Good” Tracklist & Cover Art

For the first time in Corey Smith’s career, he worked with an outside producer. That producer, Keith Stegall, is best-known for his work with Alan Jackson and Zac Brown Band. Recorded at Ardent Studios in Memphis and Ronnie’s Place in Nashville, the album found Smith recording with top musicians like Lee Davis, Mike Hines, Eric Darken, Dan Dugmore, John Willis and Stuart Duncan, among others. They worked together for the release of Corey Smith's new album While The Gettin' Is Good. The record also marks the first time Corey Smith has worked with iconic roots label Sugar Hill Records for a project.

Smith says, “"I always dreamed of being able to make a record like this. I wanted to explore all the possibilities of a song and work with a producer who was among the best and who could teach me," he says. "What makes me different is that I write all these songs, and I write them from the heart. I've lived them."

The album is considered Corey Smith’s most ambitious record yet as a collection of a dozen tracks. While The Gettin’ Is Good was written by Smith and is a deeply personal album that explores themes of love, hometown pride and even personal discovery. All these songs are told through stories that are sure to join his uniquely-honed collection of songs from his previous albums, songs that have become as big a hit with his loyal audience as any superstar’s hits resonate with their audiences (who are usually the same group of fans).
