Tim McGraw Delivers Emotional OSCAR Performance

Country icon pays tribute to one of his biggest influences and musical heroes Glen Campbell at the 2015 telecast of the Oscars with his performance of "I'm Not Gonna Miss You."

With Glen Campbell too deep into his Alzheimer's disease to perform "I'm Not Gonna Miss You," the emotive Grammy-winning single, Tim McGraw was asked by the Campbell family to step in Glen's shoes for the performance and he delivered one of the best performances of his career on that stage. You can watch the performance above.

While the song lost the Oscar to the wonderful "Glory" from Selma, The Glen Campbell song remains one of the most touching songs associated with any film to be released in the past few years.

Tim McGraw will soon hit the road on his upcoming tour while you can buy the soundtrack to Glen Campbell: I'm Still Me, which features "I'm Not Gonna Miss You," in stores and iTunes now.

Emotionally maybe but not good. The song itself is powerful but it needed a stronger vocalists. Also he looks unhealthy- eat something, buddy. yikes

Tim did a pretty good job. It was bittersweet . Having a parent to die with Alzheimer's it brought tears to my eyes. I thought the song had a good chance of winning and then came GLORY and I knew that was going to be the winner. Great to see the song get the recognition though.
