Fresh off of his lauded hosting gig for Saturday Night Live, Blake Shelton has been added to the cast a new Adam Sandler film.
The cast for Adam Sandler’s first film for Netflix has been announced, film website TheWrap learned yesterday. Among the stars to sign on for the film is Blake Shelton who will play “Wyatt Earp” in Sandler’s Ridiculous 6 film. The role will be Shelton’s film debut.
Shelton will star alongside Adam Sandler, Tayler Lautner, comideian Whitney Cummings, Nick Nolte, Vanilla Ice, Dan Akroyd, Jon Lovitz, Rob Schneider, Steve Buscemi, Terry Crews, Will Forte and Nick Swardson.
The film is expected to also include Luke Wilson, Steve Zahn, Danny Trejo, Chris Parnell and Lavell Crawford.
The project will be a comedic spin on the ensemble western genre films like the classic The Magnificent Seven. Filming for Ridiculous 6 will begin in February.
