Cody Canada and The Departed’s new album HippieLovePunk made an impressive release week debut with the album hitting the Billboard Country Albums chart at #9 and touching the Top 5 iTunes Country Albums and Top 40 Overall from iTunes while also hitting #1 on the Alazon MP3 Album chart for both Country and Rock genres.
HippieLovePunk is the band’s long-awaited release which returns the band to the core sound fans have long known frontman Cody Canada for from his time with Cross Canadian Ragweed (That band’s bassist Jeremy Plato is also a member in The Departed).
The album is the first for the band since the amicable split of vocalist/guitarist Seth James last year. James is currently working on a new solo project.
