Eric Church Takes "Talladega" to No. 1

The fourth single from the star's "The Outsiders" album hits the top of the charts.

Eric Church is continuing the journey up the charts once again with his latest release "Talladega." This week, the song tops both Billboard and Mediabase as the No. 1 song in the country.

"Talladega," penned by Church and Luke Laird, is the second chart-topping single from the singer's career-defining, Grammy Award-nominated album, The Outsiders. The song joins previous No. 1 “Give Me Back My Hometown,” which is nominated for Country Song of the Year at the Grammys. Church also is up for three other Grammys, including Country Album of the Year. Church will perform on the Feb. 8 CBS broadcast.

The Outsiders ruled 2014 with country music’s biggest debut week, the genre’s first platinum-selling release of the year and an appearance on many critics’ best-of lists. Church was lauded for his fearlessness and embraced by fans, and that enthusiasm has already spilled over into 2015. Church set the Bridgestone Arena event attendance record with more than 18,000 fans spilling into the aisles at his recent hometown show in Nashville and has a number of dates ahead on his 2015 THE OUTSIDERS WORLD TOUR that could break records as well.
