Carrie Underwood “Something In The Water" Sets New Record

The Grammy®-nominated song from Underwood’s Greatest Hits: Decade #1 becomes her longest chart-topping hit!

For the seventh week, Carrie Underwood’s Grammy®-nominated smash hit “Something In The Water” has broken her record set with “Jesus, Take The Wheel” as it now has spent a cumulative seven weeks at the top of the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart. The chart, which includes radio airplay, sales and streaming (it was airplay only when “Before He Cheats” his #1).

The Gold-Certified “Something In The Water” recently topped Rolling Stone’s year-end social media readers’ poll of the “10 Best Country Songs” of 2014” and it continues to be very popular on radio airplay charts currently approaching #1 on both the Billboard and Country Aircheck radio airplay charts.

It was 9 years ago this week that Underwood was enjoying her first Hot Country Songs success in the midst of her six-week run at #1 with her breakout hit “Jesus Take The Wheel.” “Something In The Water” also has spent 16 weeks on Billboard’s “Hot Christian Songs” chart with 16 weeks at #1, the longest tenure for any female on that chart, according to Billboard.

“Something in the Water” is from Underwood’s chart-topping new album, Greatest Hits: Decade #1, which also includes the new song “Little Toy Guns” and four songs in never-before-released versions, as well as all 18 of Underwood’s #1 hits.
