The Most-Added Country Songs For January 12, 2015

With a record breaking number of 79 first week radio station adds, Mickey Guyton earns her first major accolade thanks to Mediabase and Country Aircheck. The number is quite large for a debut act and it’s even 14 more adds than superstar Miranda Lambert’s “Little Red Wagon” received its first week out (though last week she got 21 pre-release week adds for a grand total of 86 in her first two weeks. At #3 is new iHeartMedia “On The Verge” artist, Republic Nashville’s A Thousand Horses with 49 radio adds for their debut single “Smoke.” At #4 is Frankie Ballard’s “Young & Crazy.” The follow-up to his first two #1 hits (“Sunshine & Whiskey” and “Helluva Life”) looks poised to follow suit. At #5 is Zac Brown Band’s “Homegrown,” the single which marks their first release under the band’s new partnership with John Varvatos Records, Republic Records and BMLG.

Reba McEntire’s “Going Out Like That” debuts with 22 new adds, pretty much all of Cumulus’ Nash stations as the rest take a wait and see approach to the iconic superstar’s return to the charts. Little Big Town’s “Girl Crush” remains on the chart this week with an additional 16 stations picking up the powerful torch ballad while last week’s #1, Austin Webb, picks up 13 more stations to join last week’s 29 stations. The new tune is called “All Country On You.” Rascal Flatts’ “Riot” joins the Top 10 most-added at #9, joining Sam Hunt’s “Take Your Time” in rounding out the Top 10 Most-Added Country Songs this week.
