2014 was a great year for Dierks Bentley. Not only did he release his most-critically-acclaimed album to date in Riser but he named his tour after the title track and scored a handful of popular Platinum-certified tunes in “I Hold On” and the hit of summer 2014, “Drunk On A Plane.” His current single, “Say You Do” is following suit and with that, he’s announced his 2015 tour.
The tour (sponsored by Ole Smoky Tennessee Moonshine) will be called the 2015 Sounds Of Summer Tour and will feature Kip Moore, Maddie & Tae and Canaan Smith as opening acts.
"There have been tours in my career that I thought would be impossible to top, and the past 12 months certainly rank as some of the best and most fun nights of my life," said Bentley. "I expect 2015 to beat all of it. I've really loved having three other artists out there with us…just more fun on and off the stage and knowing that the fans are getting more music for their money is important to me. Kip, Maddie & Tae and Canaan are three of the hottest rising artists out there right now, and I feel fortunate to be spending the summer with them. If our first 'tour meeting' is any indication, they are up for anything, which is awesome. No one is going to have more fun this summer than us!”
Last year’s RISER TOUR found Bentley commanding the attention of media across the country, with critics calling his performances “captivating” with a “new depth” (The Plain Dealer) and affirming “crowds from coast to coast now know Bentley’s strengths as a headliner” (Indianapolis Star). Night after night, Bentley “rose to the occasion like a pro, as though headlining is what the man was born to do” (Arizona Republic).
