Ronnie Dunn Officially Signed To Nash Icon Records

Lead vocalist for Brooks & Dunn Back on a major record label after one self-released project.

After a detour into self-released music through his Little Will-E Records with 2014’s Peace Love And Country Music, Ronnie Dunn today announced something big. That something big is that Ronnie Dunn officially signed to Nash Icon Records last week, joining Reba and Martina McBride on the burgeoning label's roster of country music icons. Dunn had previously teased the news to his fan during the holidays.

“This is the best possible scenario that I can imagine. The Big Machine and Cumulus combination is a force, and I am proud to be included in this innovative venture,” shared Dunn.

Dunn, who was the main vocalist for the superstar duo Brooks & Dunn from 1991 to 2011, sold over 30 million albums and 23 #1 singles along with major industry awards totaling 80 from places like the Grammy Awards, CMA Awards and 27 ACM Awards honors, the latter a record for the ACM Awards. The duo was also known for their fiery showmanship and Ronnie Dunn himself was twice honored as BMI Country Songwriter of the Year. Ronnie earned two Grammy Award nominations in 2013 for his solo work.

Dunn also recently partnered with Reba and Kix Brooks for a Los Vegas residency called Reba, Brooks & Dunn: Together In Vegas. The residency will happen at the Colosseum at Casesars Palace, opening in June 2015.

"Ronnie Dunn has one of the smoothest, most-recognized and most-popular voices of the last twenty five years in Country music. I'm truly honored to have him join us and take his rightful place as an Icon. Great music is on the way!" said BMLG President & CEO Scott Borchetta.

“Having Ronnie Dunn as part of Nash Icon Records just a few months after our launch is an honor. We appreciate his trust and vote of confidence in the Nash Icon brand,” continued John Dickey, Executive Vice President of Content and Programming for Cumulus.

The singer will soon head into the studio to record new music, from which a new single will be released in early spring.
