Blake Shelton "Neon Light” Certified Gold

Single is the first RIAA certification of 2015. His “Loaded: The Best Of Blake Shelton” also certified Platinum.

We told ya earlier this week that Blake would be heading to SNL to host and perform on January 24th and now we’ve received word that the reigning CMA Male Vocalist of the Year has earned his latest Gold certification for “Neon Light,” his 13th chart-topping hit in a row.

The certification is the first of 2014 for any artist according to the RIAA and continues a streak of certifications for his singles that is now ten songs long (starting with 2010’s “Who Are You When I’m Not Looking.”) Shelton has scored 18 #1 singles on the country music charts with his streak of 13 #1s in a row a record for both the Billboard and Mediabase country radio airplay charts. Shelton’s current single, “Lonely Tonight” with Ashley Monroe, is currently near the Top 10 and climbing on the country radio charts.

Shelton’s streak of five CMA Male Vocalist of the Year trophies ties him with Vince Gill for the most-consecutive wins in the category for the CMA Awards’ history.

Shelton's 2010 release, Loaded: The Best of Blake Shelton Was also certified this week by the RIAA for Platinum success.
