Tim McGraw Has Longest-Running No. 1 Hit in 10 Years With "Shotgun Rider"

Tim McGraw's 2015 has definitely started off on the right foot. McGraw's latest single, "Shotgun Rider," ended 2014 at the top of the charts and continues to hold it down going into the first week of 2015. The achievement marks McGraw's longest-running chart-topping single in 10 years by locking in the position for four consecutive weeks.

Written by Marv Green, Hillary Lindsey and Troy Verges, “Shotgun Rider” signifies McGraw’s 36th career chart-topper and remains the current best-selling song on the iTunes Country Singles chart with over 500,000 copies sold to date (Good enough to soon be certified Gold). The fete marks McGraw's 27th No. 1 on the Billboard Country Airplay chart, which is the most of any artist in the chart’s 25–year history.

McGraw's previous longest-running No. 1 hit came with his mega smash "Live Like You Were Dying."

In addition to the chart position, McGraw will also have something else special to look forward to in the coming weeks. He and wife Faith Hill are up for multiple Grammy's for their duet, "Meanwhile Back at Mama's." The Grammy's will air on February 8 on CBS.
