Parmalee Break Top 5 with “Close Your Eyes”

The song is the band’s second-consecutive chart-topping hit after “Carolina."

It’s taken Parmalee nearly an entire year to break into Billboard’s Top 10 at country radio but that’s exactly what the South Carolina natives have done with their third Top 40 hit “Close Your Eyes.” 46 weeks after releasing the single to country radio, the band’s third single from Feels Like Carolina has reached a new peak.

The band’s previous two singles, the 2012 release “Musta Had A Good Time” and the #1 Platinum-selling, Gold-certifiedCarolina” both took quite a long time to peak. Couple these facts with the timing of the band’s release of Feels Like Carolina in the fall of 2013 and the band’s been working with music that’s two years old. If they release another song from their Stoney Creek Records debut, the band may spend a total of three to four years between all new music. Given that it has taken Parmalee so long to hit the Top of the charts with each single, look for the band to issue new music from a new album sometime in early 2015.
