Kip Moore Celebrates Double Platinum

Star also wins the American Country Countdown Awards’ first Breakthrough Artist Of Year trophy.

Kip Moore has reason to celebrate this holiday season as the MCA Nashville singer/songwriter took home the first American Country Countdown Awards Breakthrough Artist Of Year trophy last night (December 15, 2014). The star also performed his newly-certified Platinum hit single “Hey Pretty Girl” before accepting the award.

"It may be my name on the award, but there are so many others who deserve to have their name on this with me," said Moore. "I'm humbled by the overwhelming loyalty and support from my band, country radio and especially the fans who have been coming to see us on tour and buying our music. I couldn't have imagined in my wildest dreams that we would be talking about millions of sales and streams of songs I've written. It's surreal and I can't wait to show everyone what we have planned for 2015.”

Moore also scored a Double Platinum certification for his breakout #1 hit “Somethin’ ‘Bout A Truck” for sales and streams totaling over 2,000,000. These accolades along with his first major award closing out the rising star’s 2014, a year which also had him headlining CMT ON TOUR: Up In Smoke.

Moore will release a new single from his eagerly-awaited debut album in 2015.
