Country Stars Earn Gold & Platinum from RIAA

Nine stars earn RIAA certifications this month, including Keith Urban and Scotty McCreery.

We've previously reported on Gold & Platinum certifications in individual reports for artists like Chase Rice and Scotty McCreery but each month country stars invariably end up on the RIAA's Gold & Platinum certification report for their singles and albums.

Scoring Gold singles this month are Little Big Town with "Day Drinking," Maddie & Tae's "Girl In A County Song," Chase Rice's "Ready Set Roll," Blake Shelton's "Mine Would Be You" and Taylor Swift's "Blank Space."

Platinum singles include Rice's "Ready Set Roll"  and Blake Shelton's "Mine Would Be You." (they both were catching up with the RIAA getting multiple certifications at the same time, a common RIAA event) Brantley Gilbert's "Kick It In The Sticks," Dierks Bentley's "I Hold On," Scotty McCreery's "See You Tonight," "The Trouble With Girls" and "I Love You This Big." Finally, Swift's "Shake It Off" earned 4x platinum certification.

Finally, the Gold Album certifications includes Jason Aldean's Old Boots, New Dirt, which was also just certified Platinum by the RIAA outside of their monthly reports, and Keith Urban's FUSE, an album which made our best of 2013 albums list.

I agree FUSE is one of the best albums. Don't understand why Keith doesn't sell more. Guess he's not "Bro" enough and he doesn't sing much about whiskey.
