The Voice has their next country star in Craig Wayne Boyd, an artist Roughstock has had on their radar for the past few years. His revamped version of Johnny Cash's iconic "I Walk The Line" was inspired and definitely deserves to help him continue towards winning the show. The single sold 46k last week. Carrie Underwood was booted out by Boyd but her "Something In The Water" has hit Gold certification levels while Tim McGraw's "Shotgun Rider" is currently at nearly 300k downloads. at #4 is Florida Georgia Line's "Sun Daze," the duo's latest big hit. At #5 is Lee Brice's "Drinkin' Class," yet another big hit for the Curb Recording star.
Top 10 Notes
Jason Aldean's "Burnin' It Down" is one of two of his tracks to hit the Top 30 this week. It has now moved 1.256 million units. Meanwhile Eric Church's "Talladega" is at #7 with sales of 206k to date. At #8 is Sam Hunt's former #1 single "Leave The Night On." It has moved 828k to date. Number 9 holds Brad Paisley's "Perfect Storm" while Keith Urban rounds out the Top 10 with his 2 week #1 hit "Somewhere In My Car."
Notable Track Notes
Maddie & Tae are primed for a #1 single and soon will have a Gold single too while Blake Shelton has three tracks on this chart including the nearly-Gold "Neon Light" and new hit "Lonely Tonight." RaeLynn should see "God Made Girls" rise even further up the chart with her appearance on The Voice this week while Sam Hunt's "Take Your Time" and Keith Urban's "I See You" make their way up the charts. Jake Owen's "What We Ain't Got" continues to rise while the same could be said for Chris Young's "Lonely Eyes" and the generic version of Garth Brooks' "Mom." This is a song which is making an impact and fans want to buy it, but Garth doesn't sell digital singles (or report digital album sales at GhostTunes).
