2014 Country Music Concert DVD Gift Giving Guide

This guide showcases the top new Country Music Concert DVDs available for the fall 2014 Shop

Country Music doesn’t release all that many concert dvd and bluray movies for fans to purchase but as we head towards the holiday shopping season of 2014, it seems as if stars have finally decided to give fans options in this sector for their gift giving pleasure. Below is our 2014 Country Music Concert DVD Gift Giving Guide to help guide you as you shop for gifts this season.

Alabama - Alabama & Friends At The Ryman (Eagle Vision/Eagle Records/Scripps)
Alabama is up first with a pair of products, the DVD itself (in a case that’ll fit well with both music and bluray collections) and a two disc CD set of their star-studded At The Ryman program. The DVD and CD are titled Alabama & Friends: At The Ryman. The expertly-produced concert film features the entire show and also has appearances from Jason Aldean, Trisha Yearwood, Jamey Johnson, Luke Bryan, Eli Young Band and Florida Georgia Line. The songs they perform were also performed by the artists for the 2013 album Alabama & Friends. The DVD also features hits like “Born Country,” and “Mountain Music” and a whole slew of bonus features including the making of the projects and stories about the songs, and the history of the night, among other things.
Diamond Rio - Live (Rio Hot Records)
Diamond Rio’s latest project is their first full-length live project and it comes directly from the band’s website (at this moment). It features the band’s collection of massive hits like “One More Day,” “Meet In The Middle,” and “Beautiful Mess” along with medleys of other great songs like “You’re Gone and “Holdin” or “Romeo Ain’t Got Julie Yet” and “Sweet Summer.” The band may be past their major hit making days but Live showcases them in fine form with a well-produced video (and CD) certainly worth seeking out.

Gretchen Wilson - Still Here For The Party (Live) (Redneck Records)
The 2000s icon decided to celebrate her 10th anniversary as a country star and played the album front to back at a venue in St. Louis. The album Here For The Party was an instant smash and featured her debut single “Redneck Woman” and a few other hits like “When I Think About Cheatin” and “Here For The Party.” Her rockin concert proves that Wilson was always more than just ‘redneck woman’ and that she was also more than a rocker. This DVD set proves that.

Colt Ford - Crank It Up: Live At Wild Adventures (Average Joes Entertainment/Eagle Vision)
For his full live Concert DVD, Colt Ford showcases over 20 of his most well-known songs why he’s the superstar he’s become. Songs like “The High Life,” “Back,” “Workin’ On,” “Ride Through The Country,” “Ride Through The Country” and “Dirt Road Anthem” (the original artist of that song), the DVD is well-produced and showcases Colt Ford’s ability to connect with his audience and how his music has more traditional instruments (though the lyrics are delivered in a different way, through talking and rapping than single). It's Colt Ford exactly as his fans and a growing audience loves him.

George Strait - The Cowboy Rides Away: Live From AT&T Field (MCA Nashville)
The icon's 130k selling CD set is now a live DVD and CD at Walmart stores for the holiday season. The collection features every song and guest performance as showcased here. It's definitely something fans who missed his concerts through the years, or those who went to them, will wanna check out, as George is nolonger going to tour like that.
