Country Music's Top 30 Digital Singles: November 19, 2014

Carrie Underwood leads the chart again but rising star Sam Hunt places three singles inside the Top 30.

As the weather turns colder and the Buffalo area gets deluged with 8 feet of snow, we're seeing the digital sales chart reflect the post-CMA Awards letdown as one week shows massive sales gains for everyone and the chart rights itself here this time around. That means that nearly everyone has sales drops (this is normal) after those big gains last week. Still, Carrie Undewood's "Something In The Water" leads for another week and is oh so close to Gold certification levels. At #2 is Tim McGraw's "Shotgun Rider," a popular single from the singer's Sundown Heaven Town album. It proves how much goodwill he was able to recover with "Meanwhile Back At Mama's." At #3 is "Burnin' It Down" from Jason Aldean and Sam Hunt's Platinum-certified single "Leave The Night On" is one of three tracks on this chart, more than any other artist (he's recently sold-out multiple venues for his upcoming tour, many of them within one hour). Blake Shelton's "Neon Light" is at 387k sold to date and the track is on pace to be another Gold-sales wonder for him. The song also recently topped the radio charts.

Top 10 Notes

Little Big Town can now celebrate another GOLD sales figure for "Day Drinkin" as the single from Pain Killer has surpassed the 500k download mark. The song is inching closer to #1 status on the radio dials too. Keith urban's "Somewhere In My Car" is also close to #1 on the radio dial and while it's not Gold yet, the 300k sales figure suggests that he's close to hitting the Golden note for a fourth time with a single from FUSE. Lee Brice's new anthem "Drinking Class" is at #8 while Florida Georgia Line's "Dirt" is at #9. Rounding out the Top 10 is Brad Paisley's big hit "Perfect Storm."

Notable Track Notes

Florida Georgia Line's "Sun Daze" and Sam Hunt's "Take Your Time" are two of the few singles to have positive sales gains this week. Hunt's "Make You Miss Me" rounds out the Top 30. Luke Bryan's two most recent chart-topping hits, "Roller Coaster" and "Play It Again" are both on the chart while Maddie & Tae's "Girl In A Country Song" has been certified Gold by the RIAA for sales/streams totaling over 500k. Darius Rucker's "Homegrown Honey," and Parmalee's "Close Your Eyes" return to the Top 30, as does Big & Rich's "Look At You." Craig Wayne Boyd, from the current season of The Voice, debuts at #27 with "Some Kind Of Wonderful."

Outside The Top 30 Notes

  • Chris Young "Lonely Eyes" at #33 with 71k scanned to date

  • Sam Hunt "Break Up In A Small Town" at #39 with 165k scanned to date
  • Country Hit Makers with "The Dance" at #44 with 61k scanned to date (Garth Brooks would be all over this chart if he sold his songs digitally on iTunes but he's not so this song is here)
  • James David Carter ("The Voice") "Two Of A Kind Workin' On A Full House" at #58 with 5k scanned.

Songs falling out of the Top 30 This Week
