Ask any artist what one of their biggest fears as a performer is and you’re likely to get “vocal chord surgery” as an answer back from them. For 19 Recordings/Mercury Nashville artist Lauren Alaina, that fear was confirmed when she needed vocal chord surgery in August.
The young star made a triumphant return on Saturday, November 15 at the Grand Ole Opry with her first public performance since the surgery. Lauren sang two new songs, “Doing Fine” and “Breathe Again,” to the Opry audience.
The young star is now currently in the studio recording the follow-up to her debut album Wildflower, an album which featured a handful of hits including fan favorite “Georgia Peaches.”

Love Lauren's voice. Truly the best female voice in country I think. So glad she is on the other side of the surgery and that her new album is coming :) .
