Tim Montana And The Shrednecks Sign Deal With RED Music

Hard-charging country rock quartet set to release national debut album via new partnership.

Rising country rockers Tim Montana and The Shrednecks have signed what may be one of the quickest deals ever with only a 48 hours of talks commencing in a contract for Sony’s Red Music Distribution for the release and support of the band’s upcoming album and new single ”Rust And Red” written with ZZ Top’s Billy Gibbons.

The deal took shape following news that the song would receive it’s broadcast debut during Fox News’ live interview with “The Man Who Killed Osama Bin Laden,” retired Navy SEAL Robert O’Neill. The show is set to air at 10:00 PM ET on “The Sean Hannity Show.”

Montana and O’Neill, both Butte, Montana natives, first met through O’Neill’s brother a local radio DJ and it was through that connection that “Rust and Red” was submitted to FOX for inclusion in the Hannity broadcast.

“I’ve known Rob’s brother Tom (O’Neill) since I was a teenager,” said Montana.  “He was the first person to play my music. I was beyond honored when they both suggested that FOX use ‘Rust And Red’.  The song was so much fun to record and now to have Sony RED as our partner for the song’s release – been a crazy couple of days, but I wouldn’t have it any other way.”

“Always maintaining a keen eye for the extremes with entertaining automobilia, took immediate inspiration to the songwriting cave following a rockingly raucous ride in Tim Montana’s famed rusty red pickup truck,” said Billy F Gibbons.  “The excursion was loud, fast and furious giving rise to Tim’s country tinged latest entitled ‘Rust & Red’.  It’s a killer-diller!”

“Rust and Red” was written by Montana, Catt Gravitt, Gerald O’Brien and legendary ZZ Top Founder Billy F Gibbons. It was produced by Marshall Altman.

Tim Montana and The Shrednecks have had a whirlwind year that’s included supporting slots on tour with ZZ Top, Brantley Gilbert and Kid Rock.  They wrote the anthem for the Boston Red Sox’s historic 2013 World Series run with Billy F Gibbons and Marshall Altman.
