Country Music's Top 30 Digital Singles: October 29, 2014

Florida Georgia Line places multiple singles in the Top 30 to lead the chart this week.

Leading the chart this week (again) is Jason Aldean's lone single on it, "Burnin' It Down." The Single has now scanned over 1,100,000 tracks to score Platinum. Carrie Underwood's past the 240k download mark in a month  with "Something In The Water." Blake Shelton remains at #3 this week with "Neon Light." the single has sold 307k tracks while Florida Georgia Line's "Dirt" returns with sales now past the 1,000,000 mark (Platinum, as noted above). Tim McGraw's "Shotgun Rider" looks to be connecting with fans and has scanned 106k to date to round out the Top 5

Top 10 Notes

Sam Hunt's "Leave The Night On" sits at #6 but there's a very good chance it could sneak to #1 next week thanks to his album Montevallo hitting stores (chances are a few of the tracks will debut/return to the Top 30 rundown (while the album is likely to debut at #1 on the Country album sales chart). The single has now scanned nearly 700k to date. Maddie And Tae are Top 10 yet again this week with "Girl In A Country Song," the song which also hit the Top 10 of Country Radio this week. Lee Brice has another anthem with "Working Class" jumping into the Top 10 at #8. The single has scanned 102k to date. Frankie Ballard has nearly scanned Gold for "Sunshine & Whiskey," his second Top 10 radio hit and soon to be second Gold single (in a row). Chase Rice's Top 10 radio debut "Ready Set Roll" is down to #10 but is well on its way to Platinum (only 110k downloads away, a figure it should reach by the end of 2014.

Notable Track Notes

Kenny Chesney's "American Kids" scanned Platinum this week (it was already certified for downloads of 1,000,000 tracks.  Keith Urban, Brad paisley, Eric Church, Little Big Town, and Thomas Rhett all experienced growth week over week for their hit singles. Both Little Big Town and Luke Bryan are nearly Gold for thier singles while Lady Antebellum's "Bartender" was certified Platinum this week. RaeLynn's "God Made Girls" rises to #19 (from #30) with sales now at 139k for the former The Voice contestant. Brett Eldredge debuts at #25 with "Mean To Me" (120k to date) while Scotty McCreery returns at #29 with "Feelin' It" and Little Big Town debuts at #30 with "Girl Crush," a track from #3 country album Pain Killer.

  • Parmalee "Close Your Eyes" at #32 (up 15% week over week). Sales at 192k
  • Darius Rucker "Homegrown Honey" at #33 with sales at 71k (up 35%)
  • Gloriana's "Trouble" debuts at #39 with 6.6k scanned
  • Canaan Smith "Love You Like That" at #42 with 66k scanned to date.
  • Kane Brown, an unsigned artist, debuts at #43 with "Don't Go City On Me" selling 6.1k

    Those are some sad sales totals this week. I know that's across the industry though, as a couple of weeks back only the Top Three Digital Songs all formats combined sold 100,000 downloads or more. I am really hoping for a turn around, and sooner rather than later.
