Dallas Smith Releases "Wastin' Gas" Single

Canadian superstar is set to break out stateside with debut US single.

Rising star Dallas Smith returns to the charts with “Wastin’ Gas,” the lead single from his forthcoming EP. Already playing on SiriusXM’s “The Highway,” the song is an infectious shout-with-it type of track that “celebrates the no-particular-place-to-go” mentality of young love and a full tank of gas.

The singer is the latest artist in the stable for Big Loud Mountain, joining Florida Georgia Line and Chris Lane (“Broken Windshield View”). Blending his rock sensibility (Smith was the frontman for popular Canadian rock act Default), the country newcomer’s previous single, “Tippin’ Point” was the fastest-selling Gold certified single in Canada and it has since been certified Platinum in the Great white north.

Smith’s debut album in Canada, Jumped Right In, became an award-winning project and has helped Smith send 8 consecutive singles into the Top 10 at Country radio in Canada. His upcoming project in Canada is titled Lifted. both projects were produced by Joey Moi.

Smith has joined headliners like Bob Seger and Florida Georgia Line with his energetic live shows and in 2015 will launch his own headlining Tippin’ Point Tour across Canada.
