Top Ten Recap
The Swon Brothers' self-titled album debuts with 10k fans taking home their album. That was good enough for #6 on the Country tally with George Strait's The Cowboy Rides Away: Live From AT&T Field at #7. He's now sold 107k copies of the record in a month on the chart. Luke Bryan is at #8 with Crash My Party. The album is well past the 2.1 million mark and nearly at 2.2 million scanned since being released in 2013. Tim McGraw's Sundown Heaven Town has sold 124k to date and sits at #9 while at #10 is Florida Georgia Line's previous juggernaut, Here's To The Good Times. The album has now scanned nearly 2.1 million copies.
Notable Album Recap
The Soundtrack to the latest Nicholas Sparks Film, The Best Of Me moved another 6100 copies to lead this rundown. Lee Brice's I Don't Dance is next on the rundown with 81.9k copies sold to date. Garth Brooks' re-issue of "The Ultimate Hits" has remained a consistent seller since hitting walmart stores a month ago (it now has RCA/Sony logos) and has sold 34k in that time. Eric Churh's The Outsiders has scanned another 4.9k to remain the #1 selling country album of 2014 with nearly 735k scanned. Finally, Miranda Lambert's Platinum makes our chart and has 11k in sales to go before hitting Gold. The album should follow all of her other albums and eventually be certified Platinum, as the brazen title suggests.
Next week we'll see debuts from Kimberly Dunn and Little Big Town's latest projects.
