Blake Shelton Makes Country Music History

"The Voice" star/coach sets achievement with Billboard 100 list.

Blake Shelton has made history by becoming the first Country artist to reach #1 on the Billboard Artist 100 chart, an all-genre chart based on album and digital song sales, plus radio airplay, which saw Shelton jump from #19 all the way to #1.

Previously, Shelton also topped the Billboard 200 Albums chart with his new studio release Bringing Back The Sunshine, which features the Top 5 and climbing hit single "Neon Light."

In other Blake Shelton news, The four-time and reigning CMA Male Vocalist of the Year has three nominations for the upcoming 48th Annual CMA Awards, including Entertainer of the Year (which he won in 2012), Male Vocalist and Single of the Year for “Mine Would Be You.” Tune into the live broadcast Wednesday, November 5 at 8:00 p.m. EST on ABC to see if he wins.
