The Top 30 Digital Singles: October 8, 2014

Chart is anchored by Carrie Underwood, Jason Aldean, and Florida Georgia Line.

There's clearly "Something In The Water" this week as Carrie Underwood takes home the top sales slot with her powerful and soul-stirring ballad. She knocks the dominance from Jason Aldean at the top of the Top 30 Digital Singles chart with the single. Aldean, though, has three singles in the Top 10 and six out of the Top 30. His buddies Florida Georgia Line have 3 tracks in the Top 10 with five tracks inside the Top 30. Aldean holds down the #2 and #4 slots this week with new single "Just Gettin' Started" and "Burnin' It Down" while Florida Georgia Line holds the #3 and #5 slots with "Bumpin' The Night" and "Dirt." Aldean's "Burnin' It Down" is the star's fastest-rising Platinum-certified hit to date. The same can be said about "Dirt" as it'll surpass Platinum this week.

Top 10 Notes

Kenny Chesney's "American Kids" jumps back into the Top 10 to #6 and has scanned nearly 1,000,000 downloads. at #7 this week is the 600k selling fast-rising radio hit "Leave The Night On" from Sam Hunt. Blake Shelton's "Neon Light" surpassed the 200k sales mark this week, the same week Bringing Back The Sunshine sits at #1 on the album sales chart. Jason Aldean has the #9 slot with "Tonight Looks Good On You" having sold 115k in two weeks (most of his iTunes pre-sale tracks have sold well over 100k, remarkable sales numbers for any artist, let alone a country music star. Florida Georgia Line's "Anything Goes" rounds out the Top 10 with sales now at 81k after two weeks.

Jason Aldean's three week old "Two Night Town" is at #17, Blake Shelton's "Buzzin'" with RaeLynn debuts at #18. Kenny Chesney's "American Kids" sits at #12 while Luke Bryan's "Roller Coaster" is at #14 and nearly Gold. Another nearly Gold single, Frankie Ballard's "Sunshine & Whiskey" single sits at #16. Speaking of Gold and Platinum news, Lee Brice's "I Don't Dance" is officially scanned past Platinum while Dierks Bentley also scanned Platinum with his #1 hit "Drunk On A Plane." Luke Bryan's "Play It Again" is inching its way towards Double Platinum (it's currently 189k away from two million singles sold).

  • Sam Hunt "Break Up In A Small Town" at #33 with 117k scanned to date
  • Scotty McCreery at #35 with sales up 7% over last week. "Feelin' It" sold 10k and has scanned nearly 170k to date

  • Jake Owen "What We Ain't Got" at #47 with sales at 84k to date.
  • Darius Rucker "Homegrown Honey" at #51 with sales of 52k to date
