Katie Armiger is taking her brand of youthful, empowering, pop-country overseas with her first headlining tour in Europe. Armiger's U.S. Girls With Guitars Tour, featuring special guest Holly May, is set to kick off November 16 in Glasgow, Scotland.
“I’m so excited about taking my music overseas,” says Armiger. “It’s been a dream of mine for years!”
Armiger is touring in support of her current album Fall Into Me, released in January 2013 on Cold River Records. The album was produced by Grammy-winner Chad Carlson, known for his work with Taylor Swift, and finds Armiger joining songwriting forces with some of Nashville's top tunesmiths, including Blair Daly (Faith Hill, Keith Urban, Tim McGraw), Joe West (Toby Keith) and Bruce Wallace (Dierks Bentley, Trace Adkins, Montgomery Gentry), among others. The album was a Top 10 selling success for the Sugar Land, Texas, native, debuting on the Billboard Independent Albums Chart at No. 6 and on the Billboard Country Albums Chart at No. 7.
The album features Armiger's successful single "Safe," which reached number one on the Top 20 Country Countdown Chart and amassed over two million YouTube views for its accompanying music video, which pays tribute to first responders.
