Austin Webb Partners With Autism Speaks For Benefit

Charitable concert set to benefit Autism advocate and research organization.

Streamsound recording artist Austin Webb is set to host an intimate concert via StageIt to benefit Autism Speaks, the largest autism science and advocacy organization. Webb will raise awareness for a cause that he hold close to his heart.

The event will take place on Wednesday September 10th at 6PM CST. The “Slip On By” singer first interacted with someone with Autism when he met a little girl who had the ‘disorder.’

“One of my many jobs growing up was doing carpet cleaning. I was sent out to clean the carpet of this one house and that is where I had my first encounter with an Autistic child,” Austin said. “I never felt she was ill, I just felt she was special and misunderstood. From that day on, I wanted to help autistic children.”

Fans are encouraged to pay what they can at the interactive live web show, with all proceeds going towards Autism Speaks. Tickets can be purchased until show time but fans are encouraged to RSVP for the 30 minute benefit concert here. Special prizes will be available for the top donators (“tippers” in StageIt lingo).

This will mark the second time Webb has joined with Autism Speaks to show his support, last October, he performed at Autism Sings!, a benefit concert held in Nashville.
