Country Album Sales Report - August 13, 2014

Luke Bryan jumps to #1 thanks to major TV Network exposure.

Thanks to last week's CMA Music Festival: Country's Night To Rock special on ABC TV, multiple top stars who appeared on the program experienced sales increases. The artist to benefit the most? Luke Bryan as he leaps back to #1 with Crash My Party. The Double Platinum album's Deluxe edition hit digital retailers this week after Target's exclusive window ended. Brantley Gilbert's Just As I Am slides down to #2 and is followed by the 400k-selling Platinum from Miranda Lambert in the #3 spot. Sitting at #4 with their soon to be replaced chart album, Florida Georgia Line's Here's To The Good Times. The album has now moved nearly 2,000,000 albums (it's already certified Double Platinum by the RIAA). Rounding out the Top 5 is another CMA TV show benefactor: Eric Church with 2014's best-selling Country Album (so far), The Outsiders. It has sold 678,000 to date.
