Colt Ford's "Drivin' Around Song" Certified Gold

Colt Ford scores a major piece of bling to hang on his office wall.

Today marks a major achievement for Colt Ford as his single “Drivin’ Around Song” from Every Chance I Get has been certified Gold by the RIAA for sales of over 500,000. The song, which features Jason Aldean, is another milestone in the DYI Rural Rapper’s hugely successful career, especially because it’s one of the rare Gold or Platinum certifications for a wholly independent record label (Average Joes Entertainment) and artist.

“So many people were instrumental in the success of this record,” commented Ford. “I want to specifically thank John Marks at The Highway for leading the way, as well as all the FM and AM stations across the country who played it, Jason Aldean for lending his brilliant vocals to the song, and Craig Wiseman, Chris Tompkins and Rodney Clawson for writing a big ole’ hit!”

Tony Morreale, AJE’s VP Marketing/Promotion remarked,
"Colt's fans are some of the best and most loyal out there, and they've voted with their time and money, again. Without the fans there is no certification by the RIAA."

Colt Ford's current album Thanks For Listening features his two latest hits "The High Life" and "Workin' On." It recently hit #2 on the Country Album Sales chart and #1 on the Billboard Independent Albums Sales chart.
