Garth Brooks has hinted at a special announcement to come this Monday, with a message on his official website reading "The wait is over...7/7."
Media outlets such as Rolling Stone Country have speculated that the announcement may include official dates for the comeback tour that Brooks promised late last year in an appearance on Good Morning America.
"We're going on a world tour in 2014," Brooks told Good Morning America's Robin Roberts in a December 2013 interview. "It sure feels good to get to throw your hat back in the ring…. All my babies are fine with it. Ms. Yearwood is fine with it. So now I get to do what I love to do, which is play music. I get to be with the person I want to be with, which is Ms. Yearwood."
Another widely speculated possibility is that Brooks may be planning to release new music in the near future, following up on last year's box set Blame It All On My Roots: Five Decades Of Influences.
Whatever the announcement may be, fans will have to wait until Monday to find out what exactly the top-selling artist of the Nielson SoundScan era has planned.
