Florida Georgia Line's New Single "Dirt" Hits iTunes #1; Duo Debuts Song On The Tonight Show

Is there anything FGL can't do? They've now added "Dirt" to their mantle case of accomplishments along with performing the tune on the major late-night program.

While “Here’s To The Good Times” announced their arrival as major stars (perhaps the first real duo to do such big business so early since Brooks & Dunn), it seems as if things are only getting better for Florida Georgia Line thanks to their new single “Dirt.” The song has not only premiered via video, Spotify, iTunes and other places online but also on Radio and a world performance debut of the new single — written by Rodney Clawson and Chris Tompkins — on the July 8th edition of “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” last night.

Thanks to that performance (view below), the duo has entered the #1 slot on the iTunes Download chart for not just Country music but also for all genres. “Dirt” is the first single from the duo’s upcoming sophomore album, slated to be released this fall. It follows up the Double Platinum Here’s To The Good Times, which featured 5 #1 singles which have collectively sold over 15 million tracks, with their world debut single of “Cruise” selling seven million of those tracks by itself.

Inspired by the lyrics of “Dirt,” Florida Georgia Line’s Brian Kelley and Tyler Hubbard have launched the Dirt Campaign with funding platform Omaze to benefit Habitat For Humanity, which creates affordable housing in partnership with low-income families.
