Josh Thompson has released his brand-new music video for his current single, “Wanted Me Gone.” The video can currently be seen both online, as well as through CMT.
The video shows Thompson in a very comfortable setting — his own yard. In the opening clip, he walks out the door of his cabin-style home, pulls up a folding chair, cracks open a beer and gets enjoyment out of seeing his lady throw all of his belongings out the window.
Director Tom Dyer (Rack-N-Roll Audio) captures all of Thompson’s personality that has rarely been showcased in previous singles released between his debut album, Way Out Here, and his latest, Turn It Up.
“I definitely had the most fun I’ve ever had shooting this video,” says Thompson of the experience. “It tells the story of the song perfectly, and you can’t go wrong with spending the day sitting in a lawn chair with a beer.”
“Wanted Me Gone” is the second single off of Thompson’s Turn It Up album, and is already receiving great reviews. Thompson penned the tune with Brad and Brett Warren, also known around Nashville as former country duo The Warren Brothers.
Turn It Up is available wherever music is sold. The collection of tunes also features lead single, “Cold Beer With Your Name On It.”
