The singer of "I Don't Dance" names his new album after the personal tune he wrote as the first dance song for his wedding to his wife.

Lee Brice’s previous two albums Love Like Crazy and Hard 2 Love showcased an artist primed for stardom, a stardom that was realized partially on the latter record with award-winning songs like “Hard To Love” and the ACM and CMA “Song Of The Year” “I Drive Your Truck.” Now with his career in overdrive, Lee’s set to release his third long-playing album I Don’t Dance on September 9, 2014. The album features the new (and popular) title track and a dozen other tracks. Ten of the baker’s dozen tracks were written or co-written by Brice himself. Lee also produced the album himself, stating “I Wanted to have control over every drumbeat, every lick.” 

Brice continues, “It was a lot of really sitting down and thinking about every little piece that goes into a song.” 

That result is a thoroughly modern production, melding the sounds of yesterday with the modern digital sounds of today with beats underlying banjos and pulses over the top of piano. He even cut “Sirens” live in the studio with a full band (including Brice on the banjo for the first time). Other songs grew out of beats, loops, and experimentation while in the studio, which takes a cue from his wide-ranging musical influences.
