Lauren Alaina Signs New Publishing Deal With Warner/Chappell

The singer of "Georgia Peaches" has been writing quite a bit for her upcoming Mercury Nashville album and to show proof of this, she signs a major publishing deal with one of the nation's top agencies.

Rising star Lauren Alaina has signed a worldwide co-publishing agreement with Warner/Chappell Music to represent all of her publishing interests as a songwriter. Warner/Chappel Music is a part of the Warner Music Group. The Georgia native burst onto the Country Music album sales chart with her debutWildflower after becoming the runner-up to Scotty McCreery on the 10th season of Fox TV’s “American Idol.” She is a member of the UMG Nashville label’s roster for Mercury Nashville in partnership with 19 /Interscope.

Alaina has been nominated for numerous Teen Choice and CMT Music Awards and took the “Artist Of The Year: New Artist” Trophy at the 2012 American Country Awards program. She has toured with Luke Bryan, Sugarland and Jason Aldean and is one of CMT’s “Next Women of Country. She’s currently working on her sophomore album for Mercury Nashville.
