This Month's collection of New Country Songs, as curated by us, features a wide variety of interesting songs. We start it off with the wonderful Scotty McCreery song "Feelin' It," a song which is different than his previous hits but in a good way. Eric Paslay's "Song About A Girl" is a fast-rising hit just Frankie Ballard's "Sunshine & Whiskey."
Brad Paisley and Zac Brown released interesting new singles this month, songs that stretch what we've come to expect them for, all challenging convention and all good. Joe Nichols' "Yeah" is his second smash hit in a row and we have our first boy band in Chasin' Crazy with "That's How We Do Summertime."
Meanwhile we have some strong indie stuff this month from Johnny Orr Band ("Down South"), Kira Isabella's "Quarterback" and Zane Williams "A Little Too Late." Sadly, none of these songs are likely destined to be any sort of big hit as "Down South" and "A Little Too Late" are on very small labels and "Quarterback" has a challenging subject of date rape to contend with. Still, they deserve to be mentioned here.
