Country Chart News - The Top 30 Digital Singles - April 2, 2014: Florida Georgia Line #1, Jerrod Niemann & Dierks Bentley Gold, Luke Bryan Leads 6 Near-Gold Singles & Stars

The Top 30 is mostly unchanged this week with only two new entries and no brand-new singles among the chart. Be that as it may, the chart is still full of interesting tidbits including who is nearly Gold (there are a lot) and who has hit RIAA eligibility with their latest singles. Get your full weekly scoop here!

Top 5 Tracks Unchanged, Only one new Song in Top 10. Jrrod Niemann, Dierks Bentley are Gold with 6 other tracks in the Top 10 on target to hit Gold in the next few weeks.

77 thousand fans decided to buy “This Is How We Roll” from Florida Georgia Line and Luke Bryan while Luke’s “Play It Again” sits at #2, giving him parts of the first two tracks on this chart. The latter song has sold 424 thousand (k) downloads and is one or two weeks away from joining Luke’s streak of having all but 2 of his 16 singles (since his start in 2007) achieve Gold, Platinum or multi-platinum levels. A simply remarkable achievement for any artist in this day and age (or any day and age). Brantley Gilbert’s “Bottoms Up” is close to 800k while Keith Urban’s “Cop Car” has moved 422k to date to join “Play It Again” as a single likely to go Gold in the next few weeks (which would be the third out of three singles from Fuse to hit Gold or better). Rounding out the top 5 is Jerrod Niemann’s “Drink To That All Night.” In addition to being part of his album High Noon (the #3 country album this week). It’s his third Gold or Platinum eligible single (first since 2010’s “What Do You Want”).

Blake Shelton, Eric Church, Dan+Shay, Thomas Rhett and Jake Owen Enjoy Top 10 placements with latest hit singles.

Blake Shelton’s “Doin’ What She Likes” is the fourth single from Based On A True Story to hit the #1 single spot (his 11th in a row on the airplay charts) and the single is also on its way to getting Gold eligible just on sales alone (but it is already there when streaming figures are added in, if the label wants to certify the single). At #7 on the chart this week is another nearly Gold single (in fact 4 of the songs in the #6-#10 range are close), Eric Church’s “Give Me Back My Hometown.” Next, we find Dan+Shay’s “19 You + Me,” A single which is off of their just-released Where It All Began album. the duo is just 37k away from Gold. at #9 is Thomas Rhett with “Get Me Some Of That” while Jake Owen jumps into the Top 10 with “Beachin’” a single which is a contender for the 2014 Single of the Summer.

Notables include the Gold-eligible “I Hold On” from Dierks Bentley and two risers of the week, Brett Eldredge’s “Beat of The Music” and Tyler Farr’s “Whiskey In My Water.”

It’s another strong week of notables inside the Top 30 including Dierks Bentley’s “I Hold On” at #12. The single -- which hit #1 on the radio airplay chart last week -- moved enough tracks to become Gold-eligible (it’s at 511k RTD). Brett Eldredge jumps 10 slots this week with “Beat Of The Music,” his second Top 10 Radio airplay hit. The song now has sold ¼ a million downloads to date. Hunter Hayes’ “Invisible” has moved 268k to date while Tyler Farr, the second riser of the week, is up 29% this week with “Whiskey In My Water,” his hit follow-up to “Redneck Crazy”. Other notables include the nearly Gold “Helluva Life” from Frankie Ballard, Scotty McCreery’s “See You Tonight” (his first top 10 radio hit which’ll be followed-up by “Feelin’ It” on airplay). Finally, our two new entries this week are Justin Moore with “Lettin’ The Night Roll” and Chris Young with his powerful ballad “Who I Am With You” at #29 and #30, respectively.
