Since breaking onto the scene after competing on NBC's The Voice, The Swon Brothers have been given plenty of advice through media, industry peers and fellow artists.

However, they have noticed a constant flow of the same advice given to them through several people in their career path, which they are making an effort to live by every day of this journey.

"It's funny because they all seem to get around to the same point," says Colton Swon. "They all basically said in a nutshell, keep being yourself. I know that sounds corny, but if you stay true to yourself. When it comes to picking songs or your writing, just be yourself. It's really funny because they've all mentioned that at one point or another. We are still a couple of guys from Oklahoma, so don't loose your roots, basically."

"Miranda [Lambert] was one of the first ones to reach out to us after the show," adds Zach Swon. "She said look, I got third place on a TV show, too. So she kind of gave us some direction. She wanted to make sure we weren't let down. Look at her ... she's a superstar! It's really cool that they are passing along a lot of stuff to us."
