Carrie Underwood Named To TIME 100 Most Influential People In The World List

Carrie Underwood honored with one of her most-impressive honors to date.

Not many Country Music artists do not have the credentials that Carrie Underwood has been blessed enough to receive let alone special awards like the one she was given today. The singer is one of the TIME 100, the 100 most influential people in the entire world. The full list and related tributes appear in the May 5, 2014 issue of TIME, which hits stores and digital magazine tablets tomorrow, April 25.

Carrie will headline a performance as part of the TIME 100 Gala to be held tomorrow night at Jazz at Lincoln Center in New York City. The Gala will include past and present members of the TIME 100 list, now in its 11th year. The magazine’s story about Carrie pairs her with a guest contributor we all know as Brad Paisley was commissioned to write Carrie’s profile this year.

“Not Only as she earned her place [in Country music], she’s raised the bar: a prolific songwriter, a trend-setter, and an Opry member. But it’s her decency as a person that is so impressive,” writes Paisley.

The TIME 100 recognizes, the activism, innovation and achievement of the world’s most influential individuals.
