Country Chart News - The Top 30 Digital Singles - April 30, 2014: More Gold And Platinum News

The Top 30 Digital Singles Sales Report features the usual suspects and four or five notable Gold and Platinum news pieces.

Luke Bryan “Play It Again" Remains Top 10 in All Genres, Sitting between Katy Perry’s “Dark Horse” and Justin Timberlake’s “Not A Bad Thing.”

Luke Bryan once again holds down the #1 this week with nearly another 100k sold. If he holds on this well to the sales brass ring, Luke will have “Play It Again” Platinum in about two more weeks. Either way, three weeks should be enough for him to get there. Sitting at #2 is the now Platinum “This Is How We Roll” which means that every single from Florida Georgia Line, all 5 of them, have hit Platinum or better and their single sales alone are pushing 14 million copies. Remarkable numbers from a band that nearly nobody knew of just two years ago. at #3 is the #1 Country Radio hit this week, Brantley Gilbert’s “Bottoms Up.” The song has now sold over 1 million copies too. at #4 is fast-rising hit “Beachin’” From Jake Owen. It’s sold 320k to date and will be Gold in the next few weeks and probably Platinum by the end of the summer. Keith Urban’s Gold-eligible “Cop Car” rounds out the top 5.

Top 10 Holds Miranda Lambert, Jerrod Niemann, Lee Brice, Thomas Rhett, and Eric Church.

Eric Church has sold nearly 600k copies of his latest hit “Give Me Back My Home Town,” while Jerrod Niemann’s “Drink To That All Night” has scanned nearly 700k copies in 30 weeks on this chart. Lee Brice is one of two “Risers Of The Week” with “I Don’t Dance,” which has now sold 186k to date. Miranda Lambert is at #9 with “Automatic” while Thomas Rhett is at #10 with “Get Me Some Of That,” the latter has sold 578k while the former surpassed the 300k mark this week.

Notable Tracks include Clare Bowen’s “Black Roses,” Brett Eldredge’s “Beat Of The Music,” Hunter Hayes’ latest “You Think You Know Somebody.” Gold eligibilty met by Blake Shelton “Doin’ What She Likes” and Frankie Ballard’s “Helluva Life.”

Clare Bowen’s “Black Roses jumps 85 spots this week thanks to the live Nashville performance to sell 542% more tracks than last week. The song has now sold 79k to date while Brett Eldredge’s “Beat Of The Music” is at nearly 350k scanned and should follow “Don’t Ya” to Gold certification at some point in the next couple of months. Hunter Hayes debuts with yet another #Storyline track “You Think You Know Somebody” is the final preview track before the album drops next Tuesday, in one of 2014’s most-anticipated debuts of the year so far. Dustin Lynch slides down to #17 from #10 but it’s still solid placement for such a new single from a still-rising star. Chris Young’s “Who I Am With You” is selling and it’s even a ballad too!

Blake Shelton’s “Doin’ What She Likes” hits Gold with ales now at 505k while Frankie Ballard’s “Helluva Life” hits Gold, his first as an artist with sales at 507k. Rounding out the rundown this week is The Voice’s Kristen Merlin whose cover of “Stay” hits the Top 30 at #23 and Blake Shelton’s latest hit, “My Eyes” which jumps from #41 to #27 this week. This marks Gwen Sebastian’s first Top 40 Country single and digital single to date. She’s a featured vocalist on the track.
