BlackHawk Signs New Deal, Readies New Music

90s Country Icons BlackHawk have signed a new record deal with Loud & Proud Music to record their latest album project. The duo (with hits like "That's Just About Right") are working on Brothers of the Southland, a collection of new and old music which showcases their 20 year history in Country Music.

BlackHawk's Henry Paul and Dave Robbins have inked a brand new record deal with Raleigh, N.C.-based Loud & Proud Records. The partnership will include the release of BlackHawk's new studio album, their first in 12 years. The new project,Brothers of the Southland, is slated for release later this year.

Brothers of the Southland is the product of BlackHawk’s evolution,” says Loud & Proud Owner & President Tom Lipsky. “It represents the band through the years and their many hits, the adversity they faced and Henry and Dave’s decision to continue their musical journey together. BlackHawk’s sound remains a beautiful blend of melody and harmony with genuine and purposeful lyrics and Loud & Proud is excited to be their label partner. We know their legions of fans are going to love experiencing this new music.”

This year marks the 20th anniversary since BlackHawk first joined forces (originally as a trio with the late Van Stephenson). Some of their biggest hits came throughout the 90s, including “Goodbye Says It All,” “Every Once In A While,” “I Sure Can Smell The Rain” and “That’s Just About Right.”
