Florida Georgia Line’s “This Is How We Roll” with Luke Bryan leads this week and is one of a handful of Gold & Platinum awardees this week.
After over one month at #1, Brantley Gilbert’s “Bottoms Up” has transitioned to #2 this week making way for a new leader of the pack, “This Is How We roll” from Florida Georgia Line and Luke Bryan. The single also hit Gold this week as it now has over 536k singles sold. Gilbert has sold 674k copies of “Bottoms Up” while Keith Urban’s at 334k with #3 single “Cop Car.” Eric Church is at 347k with “Give Me Back My Home Town” (way down the chart his “The Outsiders” single is nearly Gold). Rounding out the Top 5 is “Get Me Some Of That,” from Thomas Rhett. The single has now sold 394k to date.
Luke Bryan’s “Play It Again” Explodes with a 66% Sales Increase, Leads #6-#10 and is this week’s Riser of the Week.
With sales already at 313k, there’s no doubt that Luke Bryan’s 4th single from Crash My Party will hit Gold and likely Platinum before it’s finished (something “Drink A Beer” will do very soon). Speaking of that last hit, it’s #9 this week and is one of 14 of his tracks (including the whole new Spring Break 6 EP to hit the Top 100 this week, by far the most of any Country artist. Jerrod Niemann is at #7 with the nearly Gold “Drink TO That All Night” while at #8 is Blake Shelton with his latest hit, the 337k selling “Doin’ What She Likes.” Rounding out the Top 10 is Rascal Flatts with “Rewind.”
Notables include Platinum Singles from Cole Swindell, David Nail, The Gold “Compass” from Lady Antebellum and more.
This week the #11 and #12 singles to hit the chart both officially scanned past Platinum with David Nail’s single “Whatver She’s Got” hitting the mark while both he and Cole Swindell were already awarded with an RIAA certification for the single (which was also the first Gold Single of 2014). “Whatever She’s Got” is Nail’s first Platinum single of any kind. Dierks Bentley’s close to Gold with “I Hold On” while Scotty McCreery’s “See You Tonight” glides past the 600k mark. Speaking of Gold, Lady Antebellum’s “Compass” hits Gold this week and has 506k scanned units to date.
Luke Bryan’s three other Top 30 digital singles this week (giving him six of ‘em) include “Good Lookin’ Girl” and “She Get Me High” from the Spring Break EP and the juggernaut “That’s My Kind Of Night” from Crash My Party. Also notable this week is Hunter Hayes with his pre-order for his new album generating a 62% increase for “Invisible” while new single “Wild Card” debuts. Finally, Sara Evans’ “Slow Me Down” returns to the Top 30 as her album of the same name hit the streets and debuted at #2 this week (behin Luke’s EP).
