Eric Paslay has spent plenty of time at the No. 1 position in the recent years, but never as an artist ... until this week! Paslay's current single, "Friday Night," tops the Mediabase/Country Aircheck charts. Paslay wrote the song, along with fellow singer-songwriter Rose Falcon and Rob Crosby.

“My first No. 1 as a writer and artist is still sinking in,” beams Paslay. “I keep thinking that someone is going to wake me up. Thank you Country Radio for letting me dream!”

Paslay's previous No. 1 songs as a writer include Love and Theft's "Angel Eyes," Jake Owen's "Barefoot Blue Jean Night" and the Eli Young Band's "Even If It Breaks Your Heart."

While Paslay locks in the top slot on Mediabase, Luke Bryan tops Billboard's country singles chart with his latest tear-jearker, "Drink a Beer."

Coming up behind Paslay and Bryan on the charts are Cole Swindell's "Chillin' It," Jason Aldean's "When She Says Baby," Lady Antebellum's "Compass," Thompson Square's "Everything I Shouldn't Be Thinking About," Blake Shelton's "Doin' What She Likes," Frankie Ballard's "Helluva Life" and Dierks Bentley's "I Hold On."
