After some time away from the spotlight, Tracy Lawrence is back on top as he was awarded the Independent Artist Of The Year award from Music Rowmagazine during their Music Row CountryBreakout Awards event that unofficially kicks-off the CRS (Country Radio Seminar) week. The award program recognizes artists who earned the most airplay on the Music Row CountryBreakout chart during the preceding year.

The legendary country vocalist was recognized for having the most airplay for his two hits “Stop, Drop and Roll” and “Footprints on The Moon.” Both songs are from his LMG Records album Headlights, Taillights and Radios.

“It’s very rewarding to receive this award from MusicRow,” says Lawrence. “I am so thankful for the team that we have created at LMG and so proud of the accomplishments we have been able to achieve as an independent artist and label.”

His third single from the label will be released in March. The song is titled “Lie” and is considered one of the best-written tracks of his career with some critics stating that only “Time Marches On” surpasses it. A music video for “Lie” will also be released in March, which will mark his first country video since “Find Out Who Your Friends Are.”
