Hunter Hayes recently dropped a hint via Facebook that fans can soon expect to hear a follow-up to his platinum-selling Atlantic Records debut, revealing that he will be spending the next two months in the studio recording new material.

On Friday, January 3, Hayes shared the following message with his nearly 1.4 million Facebook fans:

"I can't tell you how good it feels to have two months of solid studio time on my schedule right in front of me. Thank Heavens! NEW MUSIC!!!"

That's all he's revealed for now, with further details on the project not yet having been announced.

Hayes' eponymous debut album was released in October 2011, and has since moved 1,071,000 copies in the U.S. alone.
