Joe Nichols and Wife Expecting Baby No. 2; "Sunny And 75" Certified Gold By RIAA

This morning Joe Nichols announced that he and his wife Heather were expecting their second child together (and his third overall). The news comes on the heels of some career news for Joe as his last single -- And first for RedBow Records -- "Sunny And 75" was certified Gold by the RIAA. Congratulations to Joe Nichols and his wife Heather who have announced they are expecting their second child together. The new arrival will join Joe and Heather Nichols' 18 month old daughter Dylan River and his eldest daughter, Ashelyn (15), who is from a previous relationship.

And just to keep the good news rolling for Nichols, his chart-topping single “Sunny and 75" has been certified gold by the RIAA for single sales exceeding 500,000 copies sold. The tune was the lead release from the singer's Red Bow Records debut projectCrickets.

“Sunny and 75” hit the No. 1 spot on both the Billboard Hot Country Songs and the Country Aircheck/ USA Today charts in early December. The song marked Nichols' fifth No. 1 hit of his career and the third time he's had a single be certified Gold by the RIAA (the other two singles are "Gimmie That Girl" and 

Nichols' latest single, "Yeah," is being released to country radio on January 27.
