Garth Brooks Makes Special Announcement; To Start World Tour In Fall of This Year

Country Music Hall of Famer Garth Brooks is finally set to return to the stage after over a decade away from touring and recording so he could focus on his children. Garth Brooks made a very special announcement today at Croke Park in Dublin, Ireland - the location of his now legendary 1997 sellout concerts. Brooks announced that he will be returning to the venue in July for two very special performances before his worldwide which is to start later this year. These concerts will be called The Garth Brooks Comeback Special Event.

Brooks said, "Before we go back on tour in the fall of 2014, I want to challenge myself, the band, and crew. In '97, we were lucky enough to play Croke Park, the stadium was under construction.130,000+ of some of the greatest fans in the world. I was quoted then as saying 'When this stadium is finished, I would love to come back and try to fill it again...this time to the brink.'...and we're back to do just that.”

Tickets for The Garth Brooks Comeback Special Event on Friday, July 25 and Saturday, July 26 2014 in Croke Park, presented by Aiken Promotions, go on sale on Thursday, January 30 at 9:00 a.m. from Ticketmaster and other major ticket outlets nationwide.
