Parmalee Among Semi-Finalists For ACM New Artist Of The Year Award

Rising Stoney Creek Records' Country act Parmalee has been announced as a 2014 semifinalist for the Academy of Country Music's New Artist Of The Year category. Fans currently have the opportunity to vote the Country foursome into one of the top three finalist positions at www.voteacm.com. One vote is allowed per day. The final three nominees will then compete in a second round of voting which will determine the winner of this year's New Artist Of The Year award at the 49th Annual Academy Of Country Music Awards.

“After closing 2013 with a multi-week #1 single and a debut album release, it is so amazing to begin the new year as ACMNew Artist of the Year semi-finalists!” says Matt Thomas, lead singer for Parmalee. “We feel at any moment we are going to wake up from this dream, but it’s our reality, and it just keeps getting better. We are so grateful!”

But there's still more exciting news for Parmalee fans, as the group is also hitting Country radio with their new single "Close Your Eyes," following up their multi-week number one smash "Carolina." Written by Adam Craig, Trent Tomlinson and Shane Minor, "Close Your Eyes" is set to impact Country radio February 3. The song is featured on Parmalee's Billboard Top 10 Country album Feels Like Carolina, which can be purchased here
