It's the moment ever new artist dreams about, and this week, Parmalee doesn't have to anymore. The band has topped the country singles chart with their latest hit, "Carolina," marking their very first trip to the top.
"Hey y'all, we're celebrating our 1st #1 with #Carolina!!!" the band wrote on their Twitter page upon hearing the very exciting news. "Thx so much for everything you guys have done to get us here!"
The tune, penned by Matt Thomas, Joshua McSwain, Scott Thomas, Rick Beato and Barry Knox, is the lead single from Parmalee's debut album, Feels Like Carolina, which hit store this week.
This week marked several firsts for the band of brothers and cousins. They also made their first award show appearance on the American Country Awards as they introduced Thomas Rhett's performance of his recent No. 1 hit, "It Goes Like This."
