In Darius Rucker's situation, Christmas time is extra special because it consists of time off from the road and at home with his family. It also means he gets to delight his children with Christmas, playing Santa Claus.
"It's so great to have kids who still believe in Santa," Rucker tells Roughstock with laughter. "Christmas is always great!"
One thing Rucker makes sure his kids are aware of is the true meaning of Christmas. "The whole celebration of the birth of Christ is wonderful," he says. "It's another one of those times where the whole family is together. It's great to have days off from school where you get to be together every day. I love that. I love waking up and being together and spending the whole day together, and then going to bed. Those are the things that are important to me and the things that I love."
After the holidays are through, Rucker will head back out on the road on his True Believers Tour, featuring David Nail and the Eli Young Band.
