Roughstock Exclusive: Chase Rice Sets New Year's Resolution For Himself

With the new year hitting next week, rising singer/songwriter Chase Rice (Co-writer of Florida Georgia Line's 6x Platinum hit "Cruise"), has exclusively revealed to Roughstock what his Resolution for 2014 is here. Continue on here to find out what that resolultion is and how he hopes to achieve it!

There is no doubt that Chase Rice isn't living the dream right now. He has become a very successful songwriter, having helped pen the Florida Georgia Line smash "Cruise," and is basking in the success of his new EP Ready Set Roll, which was released in October.

So now looking ahead into the new year, has Rice set any resolutions for himself? You bet he has!

"I’d love to have my own No. 1 as an artist, as far as music goes," Rice tells Roughstock. "I’ve had it as a writer now, and I’d like to have it as an artist. Simple as that. I think 'Ready Set Roll' can do it. I don’t know what country radio is going to do with it. I have no idea. But I know they’ve taken it in so far and it’s been a solid start. It may take all year to get there, but I’d like to hang onto 'Ready Set Roll' and get it up in front of everyone else."

Rice has full confidence it can happen, as it's worked out that way before with artists such as the Zac Brown Band. " t happened with 'Chicken Fried,'" he states. "It can happen.  We are the underdogs, but I like that role"
